Introduction:
This is an occasional blog where I'm likely to post just about anything that suits my mood. Rather than describing every picture, there may be times when I will let the viewer wonder about the images and interpret the pictures themselves. I enjoy viewing pictures that spark the imagination. This blog isn't just about The Way I See It, but how you might see it, too. The more you look, the more you see, and are drawn into the scene. I've captioned a few pictures to give an idea of the way my mind works when I view images. Spotting the details helps me when I do my nature walks, too. Ever Get Bored With Talking To People?

Come. I'll tell you a story...

Map For Pigeons?

I recently saw this antenna in the shape of an arrow.
Is this how homing pigeons are able to find their way? ;-)

Ordinary Becomes Extraordinary

An ordinary store window becomes powerful and more meaningful when you realize it is displaying a wig for cancer patients.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?

While riding a cable car in San Francisco, I spotted this scene. Who knew these would become world famous pants? ;-)

A Mother's Hands

A daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother.

Caring hands.

SkyWatch: Take An Attorney To Heaven?

Traveling along a highway one evening, the setting sun was creating a heavenly painting in the sky. Then, I spotted this billboard and took this picture through the windshield.

It's Friday in some parts of the world, so this is my contribution to Skywatch hosted by Tom Wigley. Please visit his blog to see more SkyWatch pictures.

SkyWatch: Blue Skies

For Irving Berlin, "Blue Skies" signified love in his once popular song. For some people, blue skies and sunshine mean "let's go shopping." For me, it's time to enjoy nature. What do you like to do on days like this?

It will soon be Friday in some parts of the world, so this will be my contribution to Skywatch Friday hosted by Tom Wigley. Please visit his blog to see more SkyWatch pictures

Sex in the City

When I walked by this window of a store selling lingerie, the city buildings reflecting on the glass window pane caught my eye.
(An "unofficial" Skywatch is below, but I guess this one might work just as well!) ;-)

SkyWatch: The Light is Red!

Wire Overload Stop Light: Do you think they should stop?

I'm not feeling well today, but I had this post ready for Skywatch Friday hosted by Tom Wigley, so I'm putting it up now. I might not get by to visit blogs, so I won't list it at Tom's today, unless I start to feel better. Have a great weekend everyone.

Tunnel Vision

Have you ever thought about Time Travel? If you could drive through a tunnel at warp speed, breaking through the barrier of time, would you choose to go forward in time or back into the distant past? Does your curiosity have you walking with dinosaurs or perhaps jetting off to a distant planet? What would be your vision?

SkyWatch: Just Plane Pondering

While on a flight to who knows where, I sat in my seat and watched this child in front of me as he looked out the rain spattered window...
.I wondered what he thought as he looked down at the soft, thick bed of clouds below, the blue sky above, and the rain hitting the window pane. Did he think that it was raining up?

Let your imagination soar!

City View Reflections

There was something about this scene that seemed otherworldly to me, as I looked out the window at the city, and saw the reflections on the glass. Rather than battling with them, I purposely incorporated them. When I look at this picture, I see other planets in the sky. I wonder who works and lives behind all of those windows; and with such magic in the sky, why aren't they noticing?

Conversation

Have you ever played the game "Clue"? I wonder if Miss Scarlet or Colonel Mustard have ever been to this place?

Artist's Window

I'm not only drawn into the window here, but I find myself drawn into the painting, too. Was this an actual place that he painted or was it in his colorful imagination? Where was this place? I spot the clothes hanging on the line and I wonder about the people who live in the house. What was it about this scene that inspired the artist? My mind goes round and round with questions. The more I look, the more I see, and more I want to know.

Homeless

One cold November morning, I saw this homeless man heading toward a soup kitchen. He was one of many that I saw that morning. On his way, he picked through a trash can, grabbed a partially eaten sandwich, and continued along. How long has he been homeless? How did he get that way? Where did he sleep? How many missed paychecks does it take to become homeless? Does he have a family? Where are they? Do they know he is homeless? Do they care? How long has it been since he spoke with somebody who loves him? What goes through his mind? How will he fill his day? A hundred questions fill my brain and no answers come to me.

Backstage - The Entertainers

The rustic wood beam of the log cabin in contrast to the flashy costumes of the performers interested me. I liked the vertical lines of the wood post and the electrical cords. Shooting a picture from backstage, instead of the traditional front view, added a perspective that was unusual. The two men, discussing their music quietly as the show went on, added to the scene. What were they talking about? What was the music they were performing? Was it loud? Were people dancing? My mind wanders.

First Post: Step Into the Past

I would love to know the history of some of the antiques in this room. If only they could talk, what stories might they tell?
